I've now been in Colorado for one week. The drive up went great...I stayed awake and had no car problems. Thanks for the prayers.
After a shower and a good night's sleep I started my week of meetings with other regional financial leaders. It was an excellent time of getting to know others who can help share knowledge and insight as we seek to further the ministry. It's so great to see how God has raised up so many new people to fill a need and serve this way around the country. I made some new friends and got to know some others better. We talked about how we can lead our regions to help them understand the importance of being good stewards of our resources, time and money, so that we can expand and reach more students for Christ. We also started the process of working together as a team across the country to solve problems and improve existing systems so we can better serve our staff. One day we even tried to put together a tent as a team...blindfolded! We weren't successful, but Marcus (our national leader) was able to gain some insight on teamwork and leadership style. I am very glad I was able to take part in this time and I'm excited to go back to my ministry in Austin more equipped and prepared to be a financial leader!
