(some of the tents, the dining hall, my bed, the showers)We had 27 students show up from all over the country. All arrived safely, and most were exhausted already. Once everyone got settled, we had some time to get to know each other and orient the students as to what the next 2 weeks would hold for them. One of the first things we did was to divide up into small groups--groups that would study, pray, work, live, and grow together.
My Small Group

My small group had 3 girls: Aimee (Northern Illinois University), Lindsay (Arizona State), and Sarah (North Dakota State). We had a blast and got to spend a lot of time together over the course of 12 days. To start, we spent time sharing our life stories with each other and praying together. We had Bible study time together 3 nights where we went over 3 of the Transferrable Concepts (Crusade Study Materials)--How You Can Be Filled with the Holy Spirit, How You Can Be a Fruitful Witness, and How You Can Walk in the Spirit.
Tranell

We also had work groups--2 small groups that would join forces during the work day. My small group worked with Janell's small group--thus the work group name Tranell. We were the only all girl team (we were a little short on guys), which made things a lot of fun and a little challenging when it came to the big jobs. But they were a hard working group! We worked on 4 houses and 3 campuses together. We did have to borrow some guys to move a fridge one day. You can't imagine how nasty those things are after sitting for months full of food in the heat!
