Summer Means Go

We’re getting geared up for yet another exciting summer of packing and unpacking, and this year we’ll be doing even more of it. Instead of the usual summer assignment where we spend our time in one place over a number of weeks, we’re going to be spreading out our travels.
This summer we’ll be helping our WSN (Worldwide Student Network) team send out all of the international mission trips from our region. This means we will be a part of running the briefing and debriefing conferences for these teams of staff and students—getting them prepared to spend 6 weeks in a foreign country and receiving them home again to process the experience. There are 2 briefings and 2 debriefings that we will attend, all held at Vanguard University in Orange County, California.
We will also get to attend our biennial national staff conference in Fort Collins, Colorado this summer. It is always a great time for renewing our vision and catching up with staff friends around the country. The remainder of our time will be spent mostly here in Los Angeles working on finding new partners to join us in funding our ministry...and probably doing mountains of laundry. We are also planning a little vacation to Yosemite with friends and possibly visiting parents while in Colorado.
We wanted to let you know about our summer plans because it is your partnership with us that makes it all possible. We would greatly appreciate your prayers as we travel throughout the summer and would also like to ask you to consider giving a little extra to help us cover the financial costs of these conferences. In total we will need about $4100 for this summer of service. You can give online by using the link to the right, or with your regular monthly gift. Thank you so much for your partnership in the gospel and for being God’s provision for us in our mission to reach college students.
