Dear Friends,
Your consistent partnership in ministry has been a tremendous blessing. We have often been encouraged to know that there is a team of people standing with us and praying for us each day. Working with college students has been a joy, and I am honored for the lives that God has allowed us to impact.
It is with a heart full of gratitude that I announce that after 13 years, it is time for me to leave staff with Cru. This has been a very difficult process, as I love my job now as much as ever and had hoped to continue. However, since Paul left staff earlier this year, it has become clear that working for Cru is no longer an option for me. There has been a general policy for spouses to work together for the organization. Though I applied for an exception to continue, I was only given a 6 month window in order to transition and wrap up my time with Destino.
I want to thank you so much for your partnership all these years. Again, I am honored when I think about how the Lord has provided for Paul and me through your giving and prayers. For those of you that give financially, I ask that you continue to give through the end of October, allowing me to transition well. At that time you can end your giving in 2 ways: you can call 1-888-Crusade or email Donation.Services@cru.org, indicating the date you wish to discontinue giving and including my account #0539670.
In terms of what is next for me, I am looking for work where I can use my Accounting/Finance degree and experience, hopefully staying close to home in Long Beach. I would love to continue to work in the nonprofit world for a motivating cause. If you hear of any job openings along those lines, please let me know. I am anxious to see what God has for my future, and I am thankful for very supportive friends, family, and a church community that is with me in this big life change.
As we wrap up our partnership together in this way, will you please continue to pray for me? Please pray that God will provide a new job for me, one that will allow me to continue to have an influence for him. Will you please pray for me as I grieve and transition out of my ministry and team? There is a lot of loss and sadness in saying goodbye, as not only have I worked with Cru for 13 years, but I was involved as a student in college as well. Cru has been a big part of my life, and I am thankful for the many ways that God used this organization to help shape me, and challenge me, and use me. Thank you again for blessing me in so many ways.
Love,
Trina & Paul Litwin
