A New Logo

For the past 20 years, since Destino started, we have been using basically the same logo.  In more recent years, local movements have created their own logos to create a more appealing local identity.  As we have grown, we have seen the need to have a standard logo for all Destino movements across the country so that we can be unified and recognized.  The old one just wasn't working for us anymore.  This past weekend at our Destino staff conference, a new logo was introduced. 

A design team of staff have been working for a few months to come up with a logo that would be able to represent who we are, include all the diversity of cultures across the country, and be visually appealing so it can be used in a variety of ways.  I loved hearing the heart behind the design. 

The name means destiny.  The design shows a path leading to a sunburst of light in the middle of the O.  This symbolizes that our destiny, and the mission of our ministry, is in the Light of Jesus.  Even the colors shift from dark to light.  This is our hope as we reach out to students on campus, that they will encounter and be changed by God, to be delivered from the domain of darkness and transferred to the kingdom of his beloved Son (Col 1:13). 

I thank God for the talented people that He used to come up with such a great new logo!
