Yesterday was my last day of class here at CSU, and I am quite ready for the break! The classes were amazing, yet much more work than I expected them to be. I spent the majority of my time the last 3 weeks going to class, studying and reading, eating, and sleeping. So much information was packed into such a short amount of time that I really hope I will be able to remember everything I learned.
I took 4 classes: Old Testament Survey, Church History, The Life and Ministry of C.S. Lewis, and Seeing the Psalms. OT Survey turned out to be my favorite class, though I think I was looking forward to it the least. Dr. Richard Pratt did an amazing job of bringing the overall themes of the OT to life and giving us great tools for interpreting and applying what we learn. I actually know how to read and understand the prophets now! And Dr. John Hannah kept me entertained with his stories in Church History. I think over the course of the last month I have read about 1350 pages, skimmed 180 pages of a book I had previously read, and didn't get to about 200 pages I was supposed to read. My eyes are tired.
Now I will have a few days to work on some wedding stuff, get some rest, and maybe have a little fun. Then on Thursday I will be heading back to Austin for a couple of days for Brett & Mellody's wedding. Then it's back to CSU for National Staff Conference.
