Free Horchata!

Last month (I'm a little late, I know), our team did an outreach at Cal State Fullerton handing out free horchata on Titan Walk (a main campus thoroughfare). Free stuff is always a hit on college campuses, but serving horchata would more likely draw the kind of students that might be interested in Destino. The goal was similar to what we did in the fall--to meet more students that we didn't have a connection to and have them fill out spiritual interest surveys. Our hope is that God will bring just the right students along. Students that know Him and need a place to plug in. Students that are confused or curious about their faith. Students that have never heard the gospel, but recognize a need for something more in life.
One of the coolest things about this outreach, in comparison to the fall, is that we had students from our movement there to help. Mareli, Eric, and Janet (above with Paul) all showed up to meet new people. Doing something like this, while seemingly easy, is a huge step of faith for them. They are publicly identifying themselves with Destino, as a Christian who wants to impact the campus. Most of them are fairly young in their faith. We hope this is just the first step among many steps of faith to be a witness for Christ to those around them.
